The Center welcomes collaborations with researchers from outside the Center, within the university, from the region, nationally or internationally. Please contact the Center researcher who shares your research interests.
The Space Center normally provides funds for research in space and planetary sciences for faculty at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Proposals are due in January and awards announced in April. Please click here for a detailed announcement and for the proposal template (available in late fall for the upcoming round).

We are looking for undergraduate students with degrees in science or engineering who are imaginative risk-takers fascinated with our place in the universe. M.S. and Ph.D. degrees are available through the Center. Financial aid packages are available. More...

A Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) program in astronomy, space and planetary sciences. Typically, this program provides a stipend for summer support, funds for travel and research supplies.

...for the K-12 Teacher
The Center offers research opportunities for K-12 teachers and can usually arrange for formal credit that is acceptable to most public school districts as in-service training. For more information about our teacher workshops, click here.
One of the best ways for Arkansas teachers to get involved is to apply to the Arkansas STRIVE program and mention that you want to work in the Arkansas Center for Space and Planetary Sciences. Please contact the Center Director if there are problems.
