Julia Kennefick, a member of the space center and a faculty member in the department of Physics gave a public lecture on February 21. Her talk is titled “Distance Across the Cosmos: From Hipparchus to the Accelerating Universe”. The space center has two two public lectures per semester as part of the Arkansas Public Lectures in Space and Planetary Science. |

Clive Neal, an Associate Professor at the University of Notre Dame, delivered this semester’s Barringer Lecture on February 12. It was titled “The Moon: Inspiring the World 40 Years After Apollo”.
The Barringer Lecture Series at the University of Arkansas is held in the fall and spring of each year using funds provided by the Barringer Crater Company. |
