Will the Space Center be running a summer 2016 REU program?
- We will be hosting 6 research internships for undergraduate students this summer.

What is the deadline for application?
- March 1, 2016
- Can non-US citizens apply to your program?
- We often have 1 or 2 positions in our program that are open to US student VISA holders. We accept applications from such VISA holders, with the understanding that they are competing for a small number of places with the larger applicant pool. We do not accept applications from outside the US from students who do not hold a VISA at the time of application.
About the Program:

Are participants required to live on campus?
- All participants are expected to live in University housing along with other REU program participants on campus. This facilitates the forming of a cohort of students for research and social activities. We do make rare exceptions for married participants or for those students who are from the local area and already have housing arrangements.

Can I bring my car?
- Yes. Parking is available near the dorms for a small summer parking fee.

What is the weather like?
- The weather in May and June is generally mild, with highs in the 80's. July can be quite hot and humid, with highs reaching to the upper 90's. We also see the occasional summer thunderstorm.
