Research Opportunities

Researchers

The Center welcomes collaborations with researchers from outside the Center, within the university, from the region, nationally or internationally.  Please contact the Center researcher who shares your research interests.

The Space Center normally provides funds for research in space and planetary sciences for faculty at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.  Proposals are due in January and awards announced in April.

Graduate Students

We are looking for undergraduate students with degrees in science or engineering who are imaginative risk-takers fascinated with our place in the universe.  M.S. and Ph.D. degrees are available through the Center.  We offer financial aid packages to many of our graduate students. More information about graduate degrees from the space center is available here.

Undergraduate Students

Many of our researchers take on undergraduates to do hourly paid research. Contact the faculty member you wish to work with for more information.

In addition, each summerthe Space Center offers a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program in astronomy and space and planetary sciences. Typically, this program provides a stipend for summer support and funds for travel and research supplies.
